Veterans Strongly Contribute to the Workforce and Deployed Resources

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, there are 2.5 million businesses in the United States that are majority-owned by veterans—that is nearly one in 10 small businesses. Furthermore, veteran-owned businesses employ more than 5 million people, have an annual payroll of $195 billion, and generate more than $1 trillion in revenue each year.

While military members provide committed service to our country, they also contribute significantly to our country’s economy as business owners.

Deployed Resources—born by melding together innovators from the defense, construction, and entertainment industries—is just one example of a successful veteran-owned business that understands the importance of continued veteran support.

Not only is Deployed Resources veteran-owned, but it is also veteran-operated and continually supports veterans by providing an array of employment opportunities. Currently, nearly 20 veterans are employed at Deployed Resources holding positions ranging from CEO to operations and service staff.

Hiring veterans is one of the easiest strategic decisions we make at Deployed Resources. They come in mission-focused and are ready to execute the tasks at hand with discipline and proven work ethic instilled. They also have advantages when it comes to teamwork, accountability, and speaking the truth to those in power.

In addition, veterans with military leadership experience are exceptional leaders and know how to motivate and encourage people to do their best work, often in high-stress situations. They also acknowledge their strong experience in risk management and mitigation—both important to all businesses.

Providing employment opportunities is just the first step Deployed Resources takes to support those who have served. It is essential to our company that we effectively communicate with and value our local veterans, their families, and the military units in our community. Therefore, we make it a priority by sponsoring and participating in a variety of veteran-centric causes including the Special Operations Warrior Foundation Golf Tournament as well as a variety of Department of Defense Morale, Wellness, and Recreation programs. In addition, we regularly support military training events across the nation and ensure our involvement in every major disaster since 9/11.

While Deployed Resources strongly values each veteran’s commitment to the company, we realize it is more important to recognize the service and sacrifice veterans across the country have made to ensure organizations like ours have the opportunity to succeed.
